“An embarrassing injury, for sure,” they say through gritted teeth. They grab for Kent’s shoulders as they lay themselves back, legs spreading on their own accord as they’re touched.

Oh, oh damn.

This is waaaaaay better than all the other fumbles in the dark they’ve had. They whine and gasp, hips raising to Kent’s hand.

Kent leans down, pressing kisses to their stomach and thighs, running his tongue along that length, exploring it as he brushes his fingers against the small slit against it.

"I really only have experience with one part," he murmurs.

Ooh. Oooh tongue is also very, very good. They try to stop wriggling long enough to hear what Kent’s trying to say -

“You haven’t really had experience with any of my parts though, to be fair,” they remind him. “It’s all kind of new.”

"Do you want me to argue that or would you rather I do something else with my tongue, huh?"

And he flicks the tip of it with a flat tongue, listening to the sounds they make as he slides his mouth around them fully.

As easily as the snark would normally come, Feldspar finds that their mouth goes completely dry. Nope, that’s what they want, forget the rest.

They tentatively put their hand on Kent’s head, just wanting to pet their soft hair again.

Kent moans softly at the touch, reaching up to wrap one hand around their wrist.

He bobs his head, finding a steady rhythm, even as his tongue works them, wrapping around the tip.

Kent’s hand tells Feldspar that it’s okay, so they continue touching his head, combing their fingers through his hair, occasionally tightening their grip as Kent sucks a little harder or hits a certain spot that makes them yelp.

They didn’t realize that this was something a person could be good at. Feldspar arches their back as they feel everything push and build and pull - and then they come, gasping loudly.

Kent isn't used to them yet, but he can't mistake that tension and release. He pulls away, the taste of them on his tongue. It's not like anything he knows, slightly sour and something like citrus, but he doesn't mind it at all. In fact, he rests his head on their stomach briefly, pressing a kiss there.

Feldspar can hear themselves give another gasp for breath, but oddly enough they can’t feel anything but the weight of Kent’s head on their stomach.

When they’re a little more collected they smile and continue to pet Kent’s hair. No Hearthian skulls - from now on they want whoever’s in their bed to have hair, and that’s final.

“I hope you’re ready for hatchlings,” they deadpan, hoping Kent will rise to the bait.

Kent doesn’t even laugh. He kisses his stomach again. "Let's have five," he murmurs against his skin.

Ohoohoo.

“Ten.”

They smooth Kent’s hair down.

He raises his head and his hair falls in his face. "Fifteen, and I get to name ten of them Kent Jr."

He smirks. "Which is a very funny joke."

“Twenty, and I eat half of the Kent Jrs.”

Which is also a very funny joke.

Kent swallows hard, trying not to laugh.

"Hm. Deal."

He slides up their body and cuddles against them.

"How does that work, anyway?"

Feldspar yanks Kent up a little further so they can enjoy themselves a good cuddle.

“What, hatchlings? Each of us has a fertility period. If we have sex then there’s usually an egg, but…” They sigh. “Eggs have a low rate of survival. It’s why there are so few of us.”

Kent nods. "Life is a miracle no matter what."

He wraps his fingers around their hand. "You don't have family units, so that makes raising the hatchlings a community venture. Any of those hatchlings from your genetics?" he wonders.

Feldspar shakes their head, holding onto his hand.

“No, none of them are mine.”

They laugh quietly, a little self-deprecating. “It’s probably good that they don’t have my genetics.”

"No," Kent tells them. "I think they'd be lucky to have it. But - I dont have kids, either. Not really something I wanted."

He kisses them again, his hand on their jaw.

"But hey...now that we've effectively deflected the talk...this was nice."

They can feel themselves grow warm at the compliment. Kent…really does seem to like them, huh?

They turn their head to press a kiss onto Kent’s lips. “Yeah. It really was. Do you…maybe wanna do it again some time?”

"Yeah. How about tomorrow?" he grins. "Or the morning. Maybe the afternoon if we can slip away?"

They tilt their head. So, it’s like that. “Maybe all three?”

Kent laughs again, turning on his back. "Yeah, if you're up for it. But uh...after that, we should probably talk."

Feldspar turns onto their side, wanting to look and admire all that pink skin and hair of Kent’s.

“Talk about what?”

"I'm not Hearthean," he tells them, eyes closed. "I've been here a while, but I'm not really the 'community love' sort."

He rests his hands on his stomach. "But it seems a little soon for this kind of talk."

Feldspar blinks in surprise. Some have described them as fearless, but he doesn’t feel that way now.

“I guess so,” they say quietly, even if that’s not what they want to say at all.

They don’t want to share Kent. They don’t want others seeing Kent they way he is right now, vulnerable and bear. That’s…this is theirs, and only theirs.
