Daniel pauses as he stands, as if waiting for Connor. Which, of course, is exactly what he's doing. There's a moment when he almost reaches out a hand to try and bring Connor along with him, but he refrains at the moment. He doesn't want to take any liberties.

"It's not my area, either, but I would like the help. I thought I would just make spaghetti," he admits. "It's easy and I haven't had a chance to get the groceries."
