As Chief Cultivator and leader of the Qinghe Nie, Huaisang hears plenty in terms of rumors across the cultivation world. Despite the well-earned peace, the clans were always going to fight and jostle for power, and he knew that he was seen by a lot of people as the Headshaker. They thought him naive and easy to manipulate.

He's tired more often than not after their wedding, the weight of the world on his shoulders and a thousand little fiddly problems needing to be solved trailing after him wherever he went. One problem happens to be a diplomatic one - Nie Huaisang needs to be in Lotus Pier and welcome Lan Wangji in Qinghe, and it can't be rescheduled.

Well, good thing the Nie Furen can step in for such occasions. Huaisang finds his beloved in the garden and slides his arms around his shoulders, peppering his face with kisses.

Huaisang slides his arms around Aaron's neck. "I do have something to ask you. Zewu-Jun is supposed to come to Qinghe, and I need to be in Lotus Pier. Will you meet him for me?"
