It's nightfall by the time Aaron finally sees this "Impure Realm" that they took him to. He's hungry. He's filthy. He's thirsty. And there's nothing around him that's familiar. He has cigarettes in the pocket of his jeans and nothing else of his own. No note. No information.

Only the vaguely unsettling feeling that he's been deposited somewhere...wrong.

These people look like Huaisang. The robes, the way they move...it's familiar enough that, before they could unsheath their swords, he's throwing his hands out, asking for Nie Huaisang to their complete bafflement. But they loaded him up and took him. Goddamn.

Hopefully they sent someone ahead.

He laughs and bucks a little against his hand, the jade pillar sliding up a little further inside of him. "I did. I'm a talented actor, you know that."

He's a brat so he kisses him again, then turns around and leans up against the pristine wall. "Like this?" he murmurs, shaking his hips enticingly.

“It wasn’t nearly as big as you,” he gasps, grabbing hold of the wall in front of him to keep himself upright. “Fuck, I’ve been so good tonight, haven’t I? Working so hard for these people who don’t care about me in the slightest.”

He slaps his bare ass playfully, then finishes inside of him.

“It’s not so far,” Huaisang reassures him, taking his arm in his. He leans against him with slightly wobbly legs, guiding him back through the twisted pavilions of Cloud Recesses.

“I have a surprise for you tomorrow.”

He holds fast to him, letting him lead but giving him strength.

"You are so fucking mean, A-sang. What's the surprise?"

He leans his head against Aaron's arm, smiling softly to himself.

"It'll be worth it, I promise."

He reaches over to adjust Huaisang's braids, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"Don't make it better."

He sighs softly and guides them through the rest of the connected pavilions towards the guest wing and then their rooms. There's a warm bath already waiting for them, some light refreshments and tea on the low table.

Aaron sighs, leaning back against the wall. "Oh, I know I say this a lot, but I really could just get used to this." He picks up a bit of fruit to eat.

Nie Huaisang strips down, picking his Nie braids out from his hair first, then his robes and shoes and finally that jade plug before he sinks down into the warm bath. He shudders softly and lays his head back.

"You deserve it all."

"You're just saying that because you're a fucking sap," he laughs, eyes on him as he chews on the little snacks available.

He wanders over, leaning on the tub's edge and gently splashing him in the water.

He splashes him back with a soft chuckle. "I'm a romantic, and I'm in love with a beautiful man. I get to talk as I wish to."

He tips his head onto his shoulder. "How are the dumplings?"

"They're good. Still hot," he says. "If they'd gone cold, I would have complained."

Aaron might be getting used to the good life.

That's his man.

"The Lan are known for their bland food, but at least they keep it hot. It's as decadent as they're willing to go." He chuckles. "You know, they have a place where they soak their wounds. The waters are supposed to heal flesh faster, and of course it's ice cold, because they couldn't even have a hot spring."
