Aaron/Huaisang

It's nightfall by the time Aaron finally sees this "Impure Realm" that they took him to. He's hungry. He's filthy. He's thirsty. And there's nothing around him that's familiar. He has cigarettes in the pocket of his jeans and nothing else of his own. No note. No information.

Only the vaguely unsettling feeling that he's been deposited somewhere...wrong.

These people look like Huaisang. The robes, the way they move...it's familiar enough that, before they could unsheath their swords, he's throwing his hands out, asking for Nie Huaisang to their complete bafflement. But they loaded him up and took him. Goddamn.

Hopefully they sent someone ahead.

Aaron's exhausted. He sleeps a while, waking when Huaisang joins him and holds him tightly.

And when the morning comes, he's certain he's back on the barge until he realizes he's got a mouthful of Huaisang's hair in his mouth.

"Ugh! You're impossible," he sighs with a huff.

Huaisang, still dead asleep, turns and lets out a soft snore into the pillow that is Aaron.

He reaches over and covers Huaisang's nose and mouth with his hand.

Huaisang is fine for a few seconds, then he tries to take a deep breath in and...sputters. Chokes. Flails.

Aaron immediately lets go with a soft cackle. "Get up, you bitch."

Huaisang sits up with an angry gasp. “That’s not nice,” he whines, “you’re supposed to love me!”

"But I want breakfast and you're stopping me. Don't you want me to watch? I'm real hungry, A-Sang. C'mon," he whines.

Huaisang grunts and falls back. "You're taking advantage of the pet name!"

Big. Innocent. Eyes.

"Real hungry," he repeats.

Hey, that’s his shtick! Huaisang lets out a very low sigh before hauling himself upright and stomping over to the door. He looks Very Put Out when he sticks out his head and calls for breakfast, as though it’s the most inconvenient thing in the world for him to do.

Which in the moment, it is. He wanted to sleep!

God, Aaron loves to annoy him. He's beautiful when he's fresh out of bed. He's beautiful with that pout.

So he sprawls out in bed, eyes closed, enjoying the whole place to himself.

With breakfast called for, Huaisang slinks back to the bed and flops himself over Aaron's outstretched legs. No peace has been earned!

"I hope there's spicy tofu this morning," he mumbles tiredly.

He doesn't open his eyes.

"For breakfast?"

"For breakfast!"

He looks up at him with a huff. "We're not eating any of that sweet stuff we have on the Barge."

"But it's spicy," he complains, turning his face into the blankets.

[threedontknows]

"Spice is good for the morning meal." He slowly begins to crawl up Aaron's body. "It invigorates the soul. Wakes a person up. Circulates the blood and the qi."

He wraps his arms around him.

"I can think of another way to invigorate the soul. Wake someone up."

Huaisang nods sagely. "Green tea."

He places a hand on his cheek, kissing him. "Chocolate."

"We don't have any of that here," Huaisang says cheekily. He turns his head quickly, drawing Aaron's thumb into his mouth and sucking slowly.

"Well, fuck that," he laughs, caught a little off guard. "I guess I'll go home. Or invent it."

[threedontknows]

He swipes his tongue over the pad of his thumb, smiling mischievously. He doesn't believe him for a second.

Aaron looks up to him and curls his fingers a bit against his skin. "You didn't want to get up," he reminds him.

He still doesn't want to get up. He wants to lie in bed with Aaron and flirt shamelessly, kiss his fingers and rub against his body as though this were a perfectly normal way to lie in bed.

Aaron toys with his hair then kisses him, not pushing him to get up or get out. He runs his hands along his side, just feeling his shape. Aching for it.
