Huaisang rises from the bed and finally takes off his outer robe, hands reaching up to undo his hairpiece and let his braids down. His head hurt sometimes with the weight of each braid he'd added, but it always reminded him of all the braids Mingjue never got to have.

Aaron helps him out of his robes, sliding his hands along his shoulders and donw his back, following the braids with his fingertips.

"Are the braids special or something?"

Huaisang takes a moment to massage out the coils of braids, unweaving them in preparation for a nice bath. "Nie family tradition," he tells him quietly.

Not the sect tradition, but his father's and mother's and his brother's tradition. If he ever had a child, they'd wear the braids as well.

He glances to the door and then wraps his arms around him again. "Do that again sometime."

Huaisang whines and kicks his feet a little, splashing the water around in the tub. "You've worn me out tonight! Maybe tomorrow, if I'm not too fatigued."
