Huh. That seems specific, but he nods, folding them over his arm. And automatically, unconsciously, he points to him as a prickle starts in the back of his neck.

"Alright, then fucking turn around," he demands, all sarcastic smiles.

Huaisang does so with a quiet laugh. It’s cute, Aaron not wanting to be seen bare by him. “There’s a privacy screen just over there! Go change behind that!”

"How the fuck was I supposed to know that?" he mutters, but walks over to duck behind the screen. He undresses and comes out, bare chested, and holds out the ties. "There."

He turns and his eyebrows raise. He didn’t expect Aaron to make such a fuss and then come out still half undressed!

“Did you need help with the ties?” he asks, waving his fan as he steps forward.

"No, I got it."

He does tie it quickly, adjusting some of the edges. "How do I look?"

And Aaron strikes a pose.

He can’t stop himself from staring, even as Aaron quickly covers his chest with the robes. Thank gods for his fan; he actively uses it to cover his lower face as he watches him.

“Good. You need the outer robe now.” Is he sweating? He feels like he’s sweating.

Aaron watches that fucking fan and then raises his eyes. "Another one," he mutters, going to retrieve it.

"You alright, man?"

"I'm fine," he scoffs, straightening himself slightly. "I'm fine. Just put on your robe so you can be decent."

"Man, fuck you," he grumbles, tying the second robe. "Don't be mad cuz I look good in your stupid robes."

Aaron's right, he does look good in these robes. Huaisang snaps the fan shut and steps forward, a little too close, reaching out to adjust the sash around his waist. "Pull the robe down -- there shouldn't be a lump here."

And then Huaisang is close. He's been close.

They've touched, for fuck's sake.

And yet Aaron is immediately quiet around him, breath stolen away as he watches his hands around the sash. He's lost his fucking mind about this man.

"Hey," he says, stepping back. "Easy on that."

He raises his hands innocently. "Just making sure you look your best," he smiles, turning away from him. "Are you ready to see the rest of the Impure Realm?"

"No," he says and reaches out, placing a palm against Huaisang's chest, stepping close. "No, not yet. Just - " And he leans over to kiss him.

Oh, thank the heavens, he'd been dying to kiss him ever since he'd showed up on his doorstep. Huaisang steps forward and grasps the sleeve of his long robe, kissing him back eagerly.

He leans into the kiss, breathless a little with it. He'd been so fucking lost and now - now he only has him. Of course he's going to cling to him. He lets an arm wind around his waist. "Guess you ain't got anyone with you here," he mutters, grinning. "Or is there gonna be some angry dipshit rushing through that door?"

"No one's going to be bothering us," Huaisang murmurs, closing the remaining gap between them. "I've made it clear to my people. When I'm with you I'm not to be disturbed."

He hadn't anticipated that they'd spend time kissing behind closed doors, but he'd hoped. He smiles and yanks him forward, kissing him again.

"You really are the fucking boss," he laughs, stumbling forward and moving the hand from Huaisang's chest to around his waist as he kisses him soundly. "Didn't think you'd still want this."

Huaisang drops the hand holding his fan and returns the kiss, careful not to take things too far for Aaron's sake. He said he wasn't like him, he remembers Aaron saying that clearly, and things had been very new between them. They'd only had those first few kisses, and those had been chaste and sweet.

He didn't want to presume.

"Why would you think that?"

He steps back, glancing at the grand room again. "Because of all this shit, man. That's why. You got everything here."

Huaisang is reluctant to let him get very far. There’s a reason he fills his rooms with pretty things.

“I appreciate my collection, but it’s not everything,” he tells him quietly. He’s still incredibly lonely.

It’s always been about finding a way to bring a little happiness into his dreary, lonely life.

He can sense that he's missing something, some piece to it all. But it's rich people problems. He can't really empathize. But he can recognize it.

He slides close to him again. "I ain't part of your stupid collection, you know."

It is rich people problems, and he knows Aaron can’t relate.

“You could be,” Huaisang says, slipping his arms around his waist. “You’re beautiful enough.”

"Fuck that. I'm not getting put on a shelf. And when we have to get dragged back to the Barge, it won't last."

But he is feeling a bit braver, a little bolder, and he puts a hand to Huaisang's cheek. "So try again."

Huaisang’s eyes flutter shut ever-so-slightly. Oh. Oh, that’s so nice. The touch his gentle and sweet, and so welcomed.

“You could help me fill these sad, empty rooms. At least as long as we’re here.”

"Sure," he says in easy agreement, though it's strange to feel just...wanted. Wanted with no ulterior motive.

"Be nice to actually, you know, take a fucking break."
